Blending circus, dance, physical theatre, live music, and modular stage design, Minimax: The Planets activates the liminal spaces between mainstage acts—transforming transitional moments into immersive artistic encounters. The project invites audiences to step into in-between worlds where performance emerges unexpectedly, re-shaping that part of the festival environment into a transformative space for audience discovery and engagement.

Its debut production, The Planets, reimagines Gustav Holst’s iconic suite through a constellation of celestial-themed performances and installations. Each piece unfolds from mobile structures that roll into place, inviting audiences to explore layered experiences of movement, sound, and scenography.

With a cast of both Hong Kong-based and international artists and supported by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme and ClockenflapMinimax: The Planets is built to captivate. Designed for flexibility and impact, it turns spectators into participants, drawing them into a solar system of myth and magic.
